    A definição correta seria um grande ser marrom, que tem suas mãos pregadas a um bastão e a um peixe. Sempre dizendo coisas sem sentido e aterrorizando vizinhanças do século XIX.
    O Troll nunca desiste de seus objetivos até cair em alguma armadilha estúpida ou ser enganado por um humano de QI negativo.
    Esses seres não pensam, sempre estão atrasados e perdidos.

  5. troll é um dinossauro ,primo distante o t-rex, que foi descoberto por arqueólogos ingleses no buraco de minhoca nomeado,hoje, de Acre.Este dinossauro devido a sua enorme bagagem sexual, quando tinha uma ereção seu pênis pesava muito para frente ,e ele saia rolando(roll em inglês).Como ele era da família dos transadores (o t-rex pertence a essa) e foi descoberto por ingleses o seu nome ficou T-roll.

  44. Albert Einstein nasceu na Alemanha, em 1879, numa família judia de classe média. Graduou-se, em 1900, pela Escola Politécnica de Zurique, e acabou contratado num escritório de patentes. Casado com sua colega de classe, Mileva Maric (de quem mais tarde se separaria), nada indicava o futuro brilhante que o aguardava. Mas tudo começaria a mudar em 1905. Naquele ano, Einstein publicou não um, mas três trabalhos espetaculares. Um deles, no qual explicava o assim chamado efeito foto-elétrico, rendeu-lhe o prêmio Nobel. Em outro, deu fortes subsídios à ainda insipiente conjectura atômica. Mas foi o terceiro dos grandes trabalhos de 1905, a Teoria da Relatividade, que o imortalizaria.
    De fato, há uma grande diferença entre a Teoria da Relatividade e os dois primeiros trabalhos de 1905. Uma coisa é falar que a luz tem natureza corpuscular ou mesmo que a matéria é feita de átomos; outra coisa é dizer que o tempo e o espaço estão interligados, que um não faz sentido sem o outro, que não há um tempo absoluto, e assim por diante. Ao contrário dos dois primeiros trabalhos, não estamos dissecando os atores do drama cósmico, seja luz ou matéria, mas o próprio palco de fundo onde tudo se desenrola, o espaço-tempo.
    Dez anos mais tarde, ele próprio estenderia sua Teoria da Relatividade naquela que viria a ser chamada de Teoria da Relatividade Geral e revolucionaria definitivamente nossa visão de mundo.
    A formulação final da Relatividade Geral aconteceu em 1915. Enquanto sua teoria era experimentalmente confirmada, o anti-semitismo alemão crescia. Forçado a imigrar para os EUA no início da década de trinta, Einstein lá permaneceu até o fim de sua vida, em 1955.
    Mas, afinal, se a Relatividade Especial nos ensinou que o espaço e o tempo são faces distintas de uma única estrutura que denominamos espaço-tempo, em que sentido a Relatividade Geral é uma generalização da primeira? Por que essa generalização nos levou a ver o espaço-tempo como curvo? Por falar nisso, em que sentido o espaço-tempo pode ser curvo? Tempo curvo? E como é que uma teoria sobre o espaço-tempo acabou se tornando também numa teoria de gravitação mais completa que a de Newton? É a resposta qualitativa a essas questões que ora oferecemos a não especialistas.
    O espaço-tempo nada mais é do que um conjunto de pontos que obedecem a certas relações. Os pontos do espaço-tempo são denominados eventos. Precisamos de quatro números para localizar um ponto no espaço-tempo. Não é por acaso que quando marcamos um encontro precisamos fixar, em geral, um conjunto com quatro informações: o logradouro, o número, o andar, e o horário. Matematicamente isso é codificado dizendo-se que o espaço-tempo possui quatro dimensões. A evolução de uma partícula pontual, por exemplo, será representada por uma linha no espaço-tempo (veja ilustração 1).

Essa escolha vinha da observação que tudo o que era arremessado acabava caindo, perdendo velocidade, chegando, no final, ao repouso. Eram, assim, os observadores em repouso na superfície da Terra os naturais para, eventualmente, fazerem predições sobre a natureza.
    Devemos a Galileu a percepção de que todos os observadores inerciais, i.e. livre de forças, são equivalentes. Ou seja, segundo Galileu, experiências mecânicas levadas a cabo em quaisquer laboratórios inerciais sempre darão o mesmo resultado. Chamaremos a isso de Princípio da Relatividade de Galileu. Não há, assim, como privilegiar fisicamente um observador inercial de outro também inercial. Imagine-se no vagão de um trem parado numa estação e suponha que na linha ao lado se aproxima uma outra composição com velocidade constante com relação a você. Desprezando os efeitos gravitacionais do campo da Terra, um mesmo experimento feito por você em seu vagão e por um passageiro na outra composição que se aproxima levarão rigorosamente à mesma resposta. De fato, do ponto de vista do cientista no outro vagão tudo se passa como se ele estivesse parado e você estivesse em movimento.
    Mas afinal, o que há de absoluto na visão pré-relativística do espaço-tempo? Newton responde: O tempo e o espaço. Mas o que exatamente quer dizer isso? Para Newton, Deus, ao criar o espaço-tempo, teria indexado todos os eventos com um número real (i.e., 1, 2, 3, ou etc). Por exemplo, na Ilustração 2, o evento de encontro da partícula A2 com a partícula B1 que está em vermelho poderia ter associado a si o número, digamos, 2, enquanto que o evento de encontro da partícula A3 com a partícula B3 que também está em vermelho poderia ter associado a si o número, 3, só para dar um exemplo. Então, segundo Newton, todos os observadores do Universo concordariam que o intervalo temporal que separa o primeiro do segundo evento seria de 3-2 = 1 unidades de tempo, i.e., todos os observadores do universo concordariam que o segundo evento aconteceu 1 s depois do primeiro. (Vamos pensar aqui em segundos como nossa unidade de tempo). Como conseqüência, podemos definir o conceito de simultaneidade também de forma absoluta. Dois eventos são simultâneos, neste contexto, se o intervalo temporal entre eles é nulo. Podemos até mesmo agrupar eventos que são simultâneos em classes de equivalência que denominaremos pomposamente de superfícies de simultaneidade. Segundo Newton, os eventos pertencentes a uma mesma superfície de simultaneidade, formam um espaço euclidiano. O que queremos dizer com isso? Algo muito simples: em primeiro lugar estamos dizendo que a distância espacial que separaria eventos simultâneos seria absoluta (vide ilustração 3), i.e., todos os observadores do Universo concordariam sobre a distância espacial que separaria dois eventos simultâneos. E, em segundo lugar, estamos dizendo que segundo Newton, esta distância seria calculada usando-se a velha e boa geometria euclidiana; aquela que aprendemos no ginásio (vide ilustração 4 para uma representação da estrutura causal do espaço-tempo newtoniano).

  46. Por mais de 200 anos, a visão newtoniana parecia compatível com todos os fenômenos da Natureza. Até que ela entrou em choque com fenômenos relacionados com a luz. Muitos já haviam especulado sobre o que é a luz e Newton não foi exceção. Para ele, a luz era formada de pequenas partículas que se deslocavam extremamente rápido. Seriam como pequenos projéteis, projéteis de luz. Mais tarde, contudo, ficou claro que a luz não poderia ser vista como projéteis de luz. Se isso fosse possível, então a velocidade do emissor influenciaria na velocidade final da luz. Para se convencer disso, pense num pistoleiro atirando balas dentro de um trem a favor e contra sua direção de movimento. Apesar das balas terem a mesma velocidade quando medidas com relação ao pistoleiro (pois apenas depende do revólver em questão), elas teriam velocidades diferentes quando medidas por um observador parado na plataforma. Seria maior na direção do movimento do trem e menor na direção oposta. Acontece que se a luz tivesse esse tipo de comportamento, isso já teria sido detectado em certos sistemas astrofísicos como os que envolvem pares de estrelas em que uma orbita ao redor da outra.
    Mas se a luz não se comporta como projéteis de luz, como ela poderia se comportar? Desde o fim do século XIX, já se sabia que várias propriedades da luz eram bem explicadas se ela fosse entendida como uma onda. Acontece que ondas são, em geral, pequenas perturbações que se movem em meios. Então era de bom tom que houvesse algum meio no qual a luz pudesse evoluir. Resolveu-se chamar a esse meio de éter. Nunca ninguém tinha visto o éter, mas suas propriedades precisavam ser extremamente idiossincráticas. Fosse como fosse, havia felizmente uma propriedade associada com o éter que podia ser em princípio observada. Assim como a velocidade de uma onda é constante em relação ao meio em que se propaga, a velocidade da luz deveria ser a mesma com relação ao éter. Por outro lado, dependendo da velocidade dos observadores com relação ao éter eles mediriam velocidades distintas para luz. Havia um único “porém” para se levar a cabo uma experiência que testasse essa conjectura: a enorme velocidade da luz. Então, Albert Michelson (mais tarde auxiliado por Edward Morley) teve uma idéia brilhante. Por que não inferir a velocidade da Terra com relação ao éter medindo-se diretamente a velocidade da luz em diferentes direções? A idéia podia ser excelente, mas o resultado foi a princípio frustrante. Por mais cuidado que tivessem tomado em suas experiências, seus resultados eram inconsistentes com a existência de algum éter. Tudo indicava que não havia nada desse tipo. Mas, ora, se a luz não se comporta nem como um projétil nem como uma onda, o que se podia concluir disso? Albert Einstein concluiu, em 1905, que todo o substrato teórico sobre o qual a física estava apoiada, i.e. a visão absoluta do espaço-tempo de Newton, precisava ser reformulada. O novo paradigma ficou conhecido como Relatividade Especial

  47. Ao contrário da física newtoniana, a Relatividade não assume tempo ou espaço absolutos. No lugar disso, ela se baseia
    (i) na existência de relógios honestos, (ii) no fato que a velocidade medida para quaisquer raios de luz independe tanto do emissor quanto do receptor e (iii) no Princípio da Relatividade de Galileu estendido agora para todos os experimentos (não apenas os mecânicos). Partindo desses pressupostos, toda uma nova estrutura para o espaço-tempo pôde ser construída. Apesar de auto-consistente e confirmada por todos os experimentos até aqui realizados, ela leva a conclusões surpreendentes. Por exemplo, o conceito de simultaneidade deixa de ser absoluto. Dado um certo evento p1 o que podemos afirmar é que existe todo um conjunto de eventos que estão no futuro absoluto de p1 e uma outra classe de eventos que estão no passado absoluto de p1 (veja ilustração 5). Assim todos os observadores concordam que os eventos que estão no passado absoluto de p1 aconteceram antes de p1 e analogamente para os eventos no futuro de p1, mas discordam sobre os demais eventos. Os eventos que não estão nem no passado absoluto nem no futuro absoluto de p1, estariam numa espécie de limbo temporal de p1. Observadores distintos discordariam a respeito se esses eventos aconteceram antes ou depois de p1.   48. Todas as teorias da época que estavam em contradição com os princípios da relatividade tiveram que ser revistas. A teoria da gravitação de Newton foi a mais célebre vítima. Ela, que conseguira unificar os fenômenos do céu e da Terra explicando desde a queda dos corpos até a órbita dos planetas, não conseguira deter o tsunami relativístico. No final, a teoria de gravitação de Einstein (a Relatividade Geral) não só descrevia com mais precisão a órbita dos planetas, mas ensinava que a gravitação apenas reflete o fato que o espaço e o tempo estão entrelaçados de maneira diferente em lugares distintos. Mas qual foi o ponto de partida que levou a essas conclusões? O ponto de partida foi o Principio da Relatividade estendido de Galileu, e generalizado por Einstein para abarcar agora também situações em que observadores “caem” livremente em campos gravitacionais. Segundo esse princípio de equivalência, um observador confinado em seu laboratório não notaria nenhuma diferença no resultado de seus experimentos estivesse ele solto livremente no espaço sideral, estivesse ele caindo livremente num campo gravitacional, contanto que o experimento levasse um intervalo de tempo suficientemente pequeno e estivesse confinado num laboratório de dimensões diminutas o bastante. Isso faz que a mesma estrutura causal mostrada na ilustração 5 valha localmente para regiões com ou sem campos gravitacionais. Conseqüentemente podemos desenhar cones de luz semelhantes em todos os pontos do espaço-tempo, não importando se eles estão ou não sob a influência de um campo gravitacional. Mas e a gravitação, onde ela entra, então? Basicamente ela entra inclinando os cones de luz (veja ilustração 6). Na prática isso se reflete no fato de que campos gravitacionais curvam a trajetória de raios de luz. Quanto mais intenso o campo gravitacional maior será a curvatura da luz assim como acusado por um observador estático no campo gravitacional. Mas a despeito disso, para observadores caindo livremente sob a ação desse mesmo campo, o raio de luz pareceria ponto a ponto reto e não curvo. Se você está um pouco confuso, não se preocupe. A culpa não é sua. Uma das características principais da Relatividade que a torna tão anti-intuitiva é ter mostrado que muitos dos efeitos que segundo nossa experiência cotidiana deveriam ser independentes de observador, na realidade não o são. Apenas para dar um exemplo, o intervalo temporal entre dois eventos dados, assim como medido por diferentes observadores seguindo trajetórias distintas terá, em geral, valores diferentes dependendo da trajetória em questão e do espaço-tempo onde ela evolui (vide ilustração 7). Muitos outros exemplos poderiam ser dados, mas eles já serão abordados em outras contribuições neste mesmo volume.

Se a Relatividade Restrita de 1905 nos ensinou que o espaço e o tempo estão interligados, a Relatividade Geral nos ensina que o espaço e o tempo estão entrelaçados de maneira distinta em diferentes lugares (variação nas inclinações dos cones de luz ponto a ponto) dependendo do campo gravitacional.

    Agora podemos nos perguntar. Mas afinal, como tudo isso pode ser interpretado em termos da curvatura do espaço-tempo? Espaço-tempo curvo? Há diferentes maneiras de entender isso. Um leitor atento antecipará imediatamente que ao falarmos de espaço-tempo curvo, devemos estar nos referindo de forma abstrata a alguma estrutura matemática. Afinal, não há maneira intuitiva (tanto quanto eu saiba) de explicar o que seria um tempo curvo. É comum tentar fazer o leitor se acostumar com a idéia de que o espaço-tempo pode ser curvo através de situações que envolvem o espaço. Por exemplo, uma ameba que estivesse presa à superfície de uma esfera e que não tivesse acesso a nada além dessa superfície (estamos assumindo aqui entre outras coisas que a ameba não possui qualquer espessura, o que obviamente não é verdade), estaria, para todos os efeitos, confinada a um espaço curvo de duas dimensões. Os experimentos geométricos que ela levasse a cabo indicariam isso. Por exemplo, um círculo desenhado na superfície dessa esfera teria como razão entre o seu perímetro e o seu raio algo menor do que 2π e não 2π assim como a geometria euclidiana (construída para funcionar em espaços planos) nos ensina. Por outro lado, há quem se sinta frustrado com essa explicação que não sugere como é que o espaço-tempo como um todo é curvo. Para ganhar uma intuição em que sentido o espaço-tempo como um todo pode ser curvo, olhemos novamente a ilustração 6 que mostra a estrutura causal do espaço-tempo com os raios de luz ligando os respectivos cones. Assim como discutido anteriormente, o comportamento dos raios de luz pode ser visto como algo tão absoluto quanto o próprio espaço-tempo. De fato, a estrutura do espaço-tempo é determinada pelos cones de luz e vice-versa. Assim, podemos entender a curvatura da luz como sendo a expressão da própria curvatura do espaço-tempo. Voltando ao nosso exemplo anterior da ameba sobre a casca esférica, imaginemos que um raio de luz seja emitido sobre a superfície e, sendo fiéis aos nossos pressupostos, que ela se mantenha sobre a casca. Nesse caso, o raio seguirá um dos grandes círculos sobre a esfera voltando, depois de algum tempo, ao ponto de partida. Isso só é possível porque a luz se curva ao longo do espaço. Mas lembremos que o espaço e o tempo estão inexoravelmente ligados. Não há sentido em se falar de um sem se falar do outro. Devemos pensar na curvatura da entidade unificada, i.e. do espaço-tempo e não apenas do espaço (ou apenas do tempo). Verdade seja dita que em certas situações podemos falar apenas da curvatura de uma seção do espaço-tempo. Mas trata-se de casos particulares. Em geral, o que se curva é o espaço-tempo.

  50. Para finalizar, há ainda um ponto que gostaríamos de tocar. Em que sentido a Relatividade Geral é uma teoria de gravitação relativística? Afinal, até aqui a Relatividade foi apresentada como uma teoria que conecta o espaço e o tempo numa entidade única denominada espaço-tempo, que pode ser entendida como estando curva. A resposta a esta questão está no fato de que a Relatividade Geral nos diz também que as propriedades do espaço-tempo estão intimamente ligadas com o conteúdo de matéria e energia que permeia o espaço-tempo. A regra básica é “muita energia nos arredores curva muito o espaço-tempo e vice versa”. Portanto, a quantidade de matéria nos arredores determina o comportamento dos raios de luz; e não só isso, ela determina também o comportamento das partículas livres. Isso é exatamente o que se espera de uma teoria de gravitação, ou seja, regras que nos permitam antecipar o comportamento de partículas nas proximidades de bojos de matéria (e energia). A Relatividade Geral é, portanto, uma teoria de gravitação e, por sua própria construção, compatível com os cânones da Relatividade.
    Devemos pensar, a partir de agora, no espaço-tempo como um tecido.
    E o entrelaçamento do espaço e tempo como a trama do tecido.
    Se a trama do tecido, ou seja, o entrelaçamento do espaço-tempo fosse idêntico em todos os eventos, não haveria gravitação.
    É o fato da trama ir variando ao longo do tecido que chamamos de gravitação.
